Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily plantation activities including planting, fertilizing, pruning, spraying, weeding, and harvesting.
• Monitor worker attendance, discipline, and productivity.
• Allocate tasks to field workers and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Inspect plantation fields regularly to identify pest infestations, diseases, or maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Maintain records of field activities, labor, production, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with estate managers, agronomists, and other departments regarding operational requirements.
• Train workers on plantation procedures, safety practices, and operational standards.
• Monitor fertilizer and chemical application according to approved guidelines.
• Assist in implementing productivity improvement initiatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Requirements

• Education & Qualifications
  • Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or related field.
  • Additional training in farm management or occupational safety is an advantage.
• Experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in plantation or agricultural operations.
  • Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience preferred.
  • Experience in crop maintenance, harvesting, and field operations.
