Private Advertiser is seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to manage day-to-day operations of our factory and production facilities, align strategies with company goals, and drive performance. You will lead production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams; optimize costs, schedule workloads, ensure on-time delivery, and foster continuous improvement across the operation.
Candidates should have 15–20 years of leadership experience, a relevant degree, and strong English
Manage and oversee all day-to-day business operations.
Lead and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the factory and production facilities.
Develop and implement production strategies, operational plans, and performance targets aligned with company objectives.
Ensure production output meets planned volume, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials, machinery, utilities, manpower, and other resources.
Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to production, engineering, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and factory support teams.
Plan manpower requirements and ensure adequate staffing for production needs.
Review production capacity, manpower, equipment availability, materials, and production schedules.
Work closely with planning and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Balance production priorities while minimizing overtime, downtime, inventory, and manufacturing costs.
Control manufacturing costs, labor costs, energy consumption, material losses, overtime, maintenance expenses, and other operational costs.
Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Evaluate capital investment proposals for machinery, automation, technology, and factory improvements.
Ensure all products consistently meet company specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.
Work closely with the Quality team to reduce defects, customer complaints, rework, and rejection rates.
Review maintenance performance, spare-parts requirements, and maintenance costs.
Support automation, process engineering, machinery upgrades, and technology improvements.
Minimize material shortages, excess inventory, obsolete stock, and production delays.
Ensure proper control of raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and production consumables.
Improve material flow and warehouse-to-production processes.
Support inventory accuracy and effective stock control.
Ensure critical production equipment has appropriate contingency and backup plans.
Oversee inventory management and stock-control activities.
Ensure accurate inventory records and appropriate stock levels.
Minimize stock losses, damage, wastage, and obsolete inventory.
Oversee transportation, delivery, and logistics activities.
Ensure timely delivery of products, materials, and services.
Liaise with Human Resource Department to monitor overall operational performance and take corrective action where required.
Work closely with the Managing Director/CEO to develop and execute business strategies.
Convert corporate objectives into annual and long-term operational plans.
Identify new business opportunities, operational improvements, and potential growth areas.
Evaluate market conditions, operational capabilities, and business risks.
Recommend strategic actions to improve competitiveness and profitability.
Ensure continuity of operations and effective contingency planning.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, and service quality.
Lead business expansion, and operational improvement initiatives.
Prepare and manage the annual operations budget.
Liaise with Finance Department to monitor revenue, operating expenditure, gross margins, profitability, cash-flow requirements, and operating costs.
Ensure operations remain within approved budgets.
Liaise with Finance Department to review monthly management accounts, operational financial reports, and implement corrective measures.
Ensure effective utilization of company assets and resources.
Provide leadership, direction, motivate, and support to all operational teams.
Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Review existing processes and identify operational weaknesses.
Liaise with Human Resource Department to develop, implement, maintain SOPs work instructions, policies and operational process controls.
Liaise with IT Department to introduce suitable technology, automation, and digital systems to improve productivity where appropriate.
Liaise with Human Resource Department to ensure effective communication, coordination between departments, and resolve interdepartmental conflicts.
Liaise with Human Resource Department to ensure departments have appropriate SOPs, processes, and controls where required.
Ensure purchases comply with approved budgets and company procedures.
Evaluate and approve suppliers and contractors where authorized.
Develop effective long‑term relationships with strategic suppliers.
Identify opportunities for procurement savings and improved supplier performance.
Ensure products and services meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
Liaise with Admin Department to ensure all operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, licenses, and permits
Coordinate with relevant authorities, auditors, consultants, external stakeholders, and professional advisers where necessary.
Monitor customer satisfaction, complaints, feedback, and service performance.
Personally handle significant customer complaints or operational escalations when required.
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
Ensure customer commitments are realistic and operationally achievable.
Ensure products/services meet company and customer requirements.
Coordinate with relevant authorities, auditors, consultants, and professional advisers where necessary.
Work closely with Sales/Business Development teams to achieve company targets.
Review sales forecasts and operational capacity.
Ensure operations can support customer and sales commitments.
Participate in negotiations with major customers where required.
Identify opportunities for new products, services, markets, or revenue streams.
Perform any other duties or support ad-hoc task when required.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 – 20 years of relevant working experience of progressive operational, leadership experience with significant experience in operations.
Experience in budgeting, financial management, and process improvement.
Experience dealing with customers, suppliers, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and relevant ERP/business-management systems.
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset for specific sector interactions.
