Harn Len Corporation Bhd is seeking an Estate Manager to lead a large oil palm estate in Rompin, Pahang. You will drive strategic and day-to-day operations, ensure high productivity, and implement best agronomic practices to maximise FFB yields while complying with regulations.
The role requires a degree/diploma in Agriculture or related field with 7+ years in plantation management, including estate leadership. Travel and on-site presence at the estate are expected.
Develop and execute strategic plans for the oil palm estate development, maintenance, harvesting, replanting and related activities
Oversee daily operations of estate to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity
Monitor, control and evaluate estates regarding implementing and maintaining good agricultural practices according to the Group's directions
Lead and motivate assistant manager and other team members to achieve high performance and productivity
Set targets and implement best agronomic practices to maximize FFB yields
Monitor water management, soil fertility, pest/disease control, harvesting and other operation standards of estates
Review and manage operational budgets, CAPEX and OPEX
Ensure compliance with environmental, labour, safety, health and sustainability regulations/laws/standards (e.g., MSPO)
Oversee estate infrastructures like roads, worker housing and utilities
Provide regular performance reports to senior management or the board
The Estate Manager will be based in an estate of approximately 3,000 acres located in Rompin, Pahang. This role involves strategic and operational management of oil palm estate development, maintenance, harvesting, and replanting. The Estate Manager will oversee daily operations to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity, lead and motivate team members, and implement best agronomic practices to maximize FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) yields while ensuring compliance with environmental, labour, safety, health and sustainability regulations.
Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management or related field
More than 7 years of experience in plantation management, including at least 3–5 years in an Estate Manager position
Preferably with experiences in developing and managing of peat soils estate
Strong leadership and decision-making
Budget and cost management
Excellent knowledge of plantation agronomy, relevant laws and regulations
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
Highly-analytical with strong attention to details
Integrity and professional ethics
Willing to frequent travel and stay in the estate
