Job summary

Ipoh Swimming Club in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a Club Manager to oversee daily operations across all departments, from food & beverages to facilities, maintenance and security.

The successful candidate will develop and manage the annual operating budget, hire and train staff, and lead a high‑performing team while ensuring exceptional member experiences and compliant operations.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in club management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, club management or related field.
• 3–5 years of club management experience.
• Knowledge of Malaysian labor law and HR payroll software.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations across all club departments including F&B, facilities, maintenance and security.
• Develop and manage the annual operational budget and control expenditures.
• Hire, train and lead operational staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Enhance member experience and maintain a welcoming club environment.
• Attend committee meetings and provide operational and budget updates.
• Ensure compliance with MBIs, ROS, and Malaysian laws.

Job description

• Oversees all daily activites across the Club's departments, including food and beverages outlets, sports facilities, maintenance and security of the Club,
• Execute policies and directives formulated by the Central Committee.
• Develop and manage annual operational budget, controlling expenditures.
• Hires and trains, operational staff, building a productive and high-performing team.
• Enhance the overall member experience, maintain a welcoming environment and handle members feedback professionally.
• Attend committee meetings to provide operational reports, budget updates.
• Act as liaison to coordinate with various Sub-Committees, Sections, and Sports Group.
• Ensure full compliance with local council regulations (MBI), Registrar of Societies (ROS), and Malaysian statutory laws.
• Procurement processes, vendors, contracts, and inventory management.
• Manage annual operational budget, controlling expenditures while identifying new revenue streams.

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Club Management, or related field of service.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years related working experience in Club management.
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR payroll software.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (ability to speak local dialect is a plus).
• Trustworthy, organized, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
