Private Advertiser in Sabah is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the hotel's daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient performance across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security and Administration. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a hands-on approach to drive operational excellence.

Responsible for overseeing the hotel's daily operations, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient operations, strong financial performance, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security, and Administration.
Ensure high standards of guest service, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
Handle VIP guests, special requests, complaints, and service recovery.
Lead, motivate, and develop department heads and hotel employees
Support recruitment, training, performance management, and staff discipline.
Monitor revenue, expenses, budgets, and departmental costs.
Support Sales & Marketing activities, promotions, events, and revenue growth.
Maintain good relationships with clients, business partners, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, licensing, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee emergency, security, risk management, audits, and corrective actions.
Prepare operational reports and communicate hotel performance and issues to the General Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years' experience in hotel operations, with 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership position.
Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, budgeting, and cost control.
Strong leadership, communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia & English; good command of Mandarin is an advantage.
Proficient in hotel systems such as PMS/POS is an advantage.
Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and be on‑call when required.
