Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a capable professional to oversee gateway operations and warehouse activities in Sepang. You will supervise rostered shifts, ensure secure, compliant handling, and drive efficiency across shipment processing and movement coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification or higher.
• Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Valid driving license and forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise gateway operations on rostered shifts ensuring shipments enter/exit per procedures.
• Manage warehouse processes for fastest, most efficient handling and transfer to movement.
• Monitor ground handler and warehouse performance and complete reports.
• Coordinate equipment checks and proactive maintenance.
• Plan staffing to meet productivity targets and business needs.
• Evaluate procedures to improve service and cost performance; support quality initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to service procedures and performance standards.
• Enforce shipment security measures and controls.
• Foster culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost awareness.
• Identify training needs and career development opportunities for high performance.
• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor performance.

YOUR TASKS

• Supervise a gateway operations team on a rostered shift basis ensuring that shipments enter and exit the country in accordance with network procedures in a safe and secure manner


• Manage the warehouse process and ensure that all shipments are processed in the quickest, most efficient manner possible, and transferred to the dedicated movement in accordance with service standards for each process


• Monitor ground handler and warehouse performance and complete all necessary reports


• Regularly coordinate equipment checks to initiate proactive maintenance in cases of potential failure


• Plan and manage the manning levels to attain productivity targets and to meet business requirements


• Evaluates procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance; participates in Gateway quality policy and initiatives


• Monitor operations to ensure service procedures and performance standards are met


• Enforce the shipment security measures and controls


• Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness


• Identify training needs and career development opportunities to drive a high performance team


• Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

YOUR PROFILE

• Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and empathy.


• At least Diploma or equivalent and above


• Good Spoken and Written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.


• Possess valid Driving License and Forklift License (Preferably).
