Job summary

OTT CREATION MARKETING is seeking a G- Project Translator/ Interpreter (Mandarin) cum Document Controller for on-site work in Ulu Tiram. This full-time role requires managing project documentation and translating between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu.

You will bridge communication between Chinese expatriates and local teams, coordinate document submissions, and maintain accurate records. Diploma or Bachelor's with 2–3 years' relevant experience is preferred; travel up to 50% may be

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree holder with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Understanding of construction, engineering, M&E, or project management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documentation, including filing, tracking, updating, and distributing project records.
• Translate project-related documents between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu, including correspondence, reports, safety notices, meeting minutes, procedures, and technical documents.
• Act as a communication bridge between Chinese expatriates and local employees, facilitating accurate day-to-day communication.
• Coordinate document submissions, approvals, and information flow between internal departments, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain project reports, records, and document registers to ensure information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Assist in arranging meetings, preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and following up on action items.
• Support administrative and operational coordination matters, including accommodation arrangements, transportation coordination, and onboarding-related documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and proper version control of all project documents and records.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties and assignments as directed by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree holder with at least 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
• Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong sense of responsibility, proactive work attitude, and ability to adapt to a construction site environment.
• Basic knowledge of construction, engineering, M\&E, or project management is preferred.
• Ability to understand construction drawings, technical terminology, and site-related documentation will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in the construction, engineering, or data center industry is preferred (but not mandatory).
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
