Inter Island Group Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified accountant in Malaysia to manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, tax filing, and financial statement preparation for the local entity. You will handle cost accounting, asset and inventory management, audit support, and tax administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
You will also assist in bank relations, capital planning, daily banking, and coordination of local financial matters, with opportunities to optimise processes and support
Be primarily responsible for day‑to‑day accounting, book‑keeping, expense verification, financial statement preparation, tax filing & tax administration, export tax rebate management, statistics management, annual audit, cost accounting, asset and inventory management, accounting file management and other routine financial matters of the Malaysian entity.
Assist in the opening and closure of bank accounts, daily banking transactions, capital planning, routine fund settlement, bank financing negotiation and related activities.
Be in charge of coordination and communication on local financial matters, process optimisation, financial information construction and other work for the local company.
Complete other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Education Background: Major in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
Work Experience: Minimum 3‑years of full‑set accounting working experience in a Malaysian manufacturing company. Well‑versed in local Malaysian tax regulations and fiscal policies, familiar with export tax rebate declaration procedures and experienced in end‑to‑end full‑set accounts handling.
Possess certain financial management capabilities. Able to guide and implement financial audit checks, supervision over standardisation of business workflows and fiscal‑tax risk mitigation in line with the company’s management requirements.
Added advantage: Proficient in ERP System Operations and familiar with SST
