Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a responsible Full Set Accountant in Sabah to manage the complete set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL and bank reconciliation. The role requires meticulous bookkeeping, timely reporting, and the ability to work independently to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or finance with 2–3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with accounting software and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare and process accounting entries, journal vouchers and other financial transactions.
• Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile accounting records with supporting documents.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables and payables.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Review expenses, accruals and prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and payment planning.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and up to date.

Job description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Full Set Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, month-end closing and financial reporting. The candidate should be able to work independently, have good attention to detail and ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis.

Key responsibilities

Handle the full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Prepare and process accounting entries, journal vouchers and other financial transactions.

Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile accounting records with supporting documents.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables and payables.

About you

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with full set accounting experience.

Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.

Experience in handling AP, AR, General Ledger and bank reconciliation.

Experience in month-end closing and preparation of management accounts.

Familiarity with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and data analysis module.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
