XinPal Malaysia is seeking an Accountant / Senior Accountant based in Bayan Lepas, Penang to oversee the Malaysia entity’s full-set accounting and financial operations, including month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and tax matters.
You will work closely with the Group Finance team, auditors, tax agents and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations, with responsibilities across GL, AR, AP, reconciliations, budgeting, and group reporting.

We are looking for an Accountant / Senior Accountant based in Bayan Lepas, Penang to oversee the Malaysia entity’s full-set accounting and financial operations, including month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting, bank and account reconciliations, tax matters, audit coordination, intercompany transactions, budgeting and management reporting. The role will work closely with the Group Finance team, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial operations.
Manage the full set of accounts, including GL, AR, AP, bank, fixed assets, expenses, and related accounting activities.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, including financial statements, trial balance, cash flow, and management reports.
Conduct bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper supporting documentation and internal controls.
Manage and review Malaysian tax matters, including corporate income tax, SST, withholding tax, e-Invoice/MyInvois, and cross-border/related-party transactions.
Support annual audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance, including preparation of schedules, supporting documents, and coordination with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
Prepare Group financial reports, management reports, budget analysis, and other financial information as required.
Support intercompany transactions, related-party transactions, fund transfers, and consolidation activities.
Process accounting transactions, expense claims, and financial controls through the Company's ERP system and established procedures.
Identify and resolve accounting or compliance issues proactively and perform other finance, accounting, and tax duties as assigned.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of Malaysia accounting/finance experience, with proven full-set accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of MFRS/MPERS and Malaysian tax regulations, including corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and e-Invoice.
Hands-on experience in month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP/accounting system experience is preferred.
Good English communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate with Group teams and external professional advisors, basic Chinese communication skills is highly preferred for daily work.
Detail-oriented, responsible, well-organized, and able to manage deadlines independently.
Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a multinational corporation, foreign-invested company, or regional headquarters.
Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, IC design, or technology industries.
Experience with cross-border transactions, related-party transactions, and transfer pricing matters.
Experience in process improvement or development of internal control procedures.
