Job summary

OMI Malaysia in Subang Jaya is hiring for an entry-level Restaurant Crew role. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and no prior experience is required.

You will deliver warm guest service, assist guests to their tables, take orders, and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld while working as part of a collaborative team. This position requires English and Bahasa Malaysia communication and willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum Secondary/SPM/'O' Level education.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for guest experiences.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene per guidelines.
• Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Assist guests to their tables, provide menus and inform them of specials or promotions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, noting guest preferences and dietary requirements.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints professionally and resolve issues.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and team to ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to company policies, dress code, attendance and performance standards.
• Assist with opening/closing duties like setting up tables, restocking, and cleaning.
