Job summary

OMI Malaysia is hiring for a Front of House Crew member to deliver attentive service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will greet guests, take orders, and help seat customers while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will handle food and beverage service, assist with cashiering, and keep dining areas clean and organized. Fresh graduates are welcome, with on-the-job training provided to learn SOPs and standards.

Job description

As part of the Front of House Crew, you will be responsible for providing good customer service, assisting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring the dining area is clean and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Assist customers with seating and provide menus.

Explain menu items, promotions and available options when required.

Take customer orders accurately and communicate orders to the kitchen team.

Serve food and beverages promptly and according to restaurant service standards.

Attend to customer requests, enquiries and feedback professionally.

Ensure tables are properly set, cleared and cleaned before and after each customer.

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, service station and other front-of-house areas.

Assist with cashiering and payment processing when assigned.

Support takeaway and delivery orders when required.

About you

Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in a restaurant, café, retail or customer service environment will be an advantage but is not compulsory.

Friendly, polite and customer-service oriented.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willing to learn and able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsible, punctual, disciplined and able to work well as part of a team.

Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
