Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in front desk or guest services management in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent English communication; Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and reservation software.
• Outstanding customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in records and transactions.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Manager to join Synergy Dining Group Sdn Bhd in Bandar Sunway, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and managing all front-of-house operations. As Front Desk Manager, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for overseeing the reception team, managing guest interactions, and ensuring seamless operations that reflect our commitment to hospitality excellence. This leadership position is integral to maintaining our reputation for outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the front desk team, including scheduling, training, performance management and staff development
• Oversee all guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints and special requests with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach
• Manage room availability, allocations and maintain accurate occupancy records
• Monitor and maintain front desk systems, including reservation software and communications platforms
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security protocols at the front desk area
• Generate reports on occupancy rates, revenue and guest feedback for management review

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a front desk or guest services management role within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and reservation software
• Outstanding customer service orientation with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully
