About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join Oversea Enterprise Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Genting Highlands. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and ensuring the smooth operations of our restaurant. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, maintaining high standards of service, and driving profitability whilst upholding our commitment to excellence in hospitality. This position is integral to the success of our establishment and directly impacts our guests' satisfaction and our business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily non halal restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling
• Lead, train, mentor and supervise restaurant staff to ensure they deliver consistently high-quality service and maintain professional standards
• Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and development to create a motivated and efficient team
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Monitor and control food and beverage costs, labour expenses and profitability targets
• Create and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business
• Maintain restaurant facilities, equipment and ambiance to the highest standards
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives to drive footfall and revenue growth

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality management role
• Proven track record of successfully managing restaurant operations, including P&L responsibilities
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health and safety regulations, and hospitality best practices
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin; knowledge of additional languages such as English is advantageous
• Certification in food safety or hospitality management is preferred
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
