Job summary

ARSM MAJU ENTERPRISE is seeking a freelance/part-time IT Technician to install, configure and support POS systems at customer premises in Penang. You will handle network setup, POS hardware, printers and on-site troubleshooting with a focus on delivering reliable service.

The ideal candidate holds an IT-related certificate or degree and can travel to clients, working independently with strong communication and customer service skills. Training and equipment support provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, Wi-Fi, LAN and Bluetooth.
• Able to travel to customer locations and work independently; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and set up POS systems at customer premises.
• Install and configure POS software and related applications.
• Set up and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and network connectivity, including basic LAN configuration.
• Configure and connect POS hardware and peripherals.
• Set up POS printers (LAN/Bluetooth) and troubleshoot printers.
• Configure Bluetooth devices and connections.
• Perform system testing to ensure POS software works with hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network and connectivity issues.

Install, configure, and set up POS (Point-of-Sale) systems at customer premises. You will install and configure POS software and related applications, set up and troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and network connectivity, configure POS hardware and peripherals, and provide on-site technical support to customers.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity issues

Provide on-site technical support and assistance to customers

About you

Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, Wi‑Fi, LAN, and Bluetooth

Experience with POS systems, receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, or other POS hardware is an advantage

Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and travel to customer locations when required

Good communication and customer service skills

Willing to learn new POS software and hardware technologies
