Job summary

GENIUS VISION SDN BHD is seeking a Fleet Operations Executive to oversee bulk cement tanker operations, ensuring safe, efficient vehicle and driver performance. You will collaborate with drivers, planners, workshops, and maintenance controllers to monitor fleet activities and support corrective actions.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail and discipline in a fast-paced tanker environment, with rotation across fleet control functions as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in fleet operations, transport coordination, logistics operations, workshop administration, or related fields.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and reporting tools.
• Ability to maintain accurate operational records and prepare basic reports.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Engineering, Automotive Studies, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vehicle speed, driving behaviour, and tanker movements to ensure compliance with company requirements and approved routes.
• Identify and investigate unnecessary detours, excessive mileage, unauthorised stops, and abnormal vehicle movements.
• Monitor vehicle idling and fuel-related operating patterns to identify potential diesel wastage.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate breakdown reporting, recovery arrangements, and follow-up with drivers, workshops, and service providers.
• Coordinate accident-related documentation, insurance submissions, and case closure.
• Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, compliance, and operational performance.
• Follow up with drivers to understand reasons for reported violations and non‑compliance.
• Maintain accurate and timely operational records relevant to assigned area.
• Prepare daily or periodic reports and support fleet KPI tracking.

Fleet Operations Executive (Bulk Cement Tanker Operations)

The Fleet Controller supports the day-to-day control and coordination of the company's bulk cement tanker fleet, ensuring vehicles and drivers operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company requirements. The role works closely with drivers, planners, workshop personnel, and the Fleet Operations & Maintenance Controller to monitor fleet activities, identify operational issues, maintain accurate records, and support timely corrective actions.

This is a hands-on operational role within a fast-paced bulk cement tanker environment, where attention to detail, responsiveness, discipline, and effective follow-up are important to fleet performance and business continuity.

The Fleet Control function covers three specialised areas:

Fleet Monitoring & Fuel Control

Fleet Maintenance & Incident Control

Driver Compliance & Performance Control.

*Remark: The Fleet Controller will be assigned to one of these functions at a time and will not be expected to perform all three functions simultaneously.

About you

1–3 years of experience in fleet operations, transport coordination, logistics operations, workshop administration, or related fields

Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and reporting tools

Ability to maintain accurate operational records and prepare basic reports

Good analytical and problem‑solving skills

Basic understanding of commercial vehicle operations is preferred

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Engineering, Automotive Studies, or related fields is preferred

Organised, proactive, and responsible with strong attention to detail

Able to communicate with drivers professionally while maintaining company requirements

Willing to rotate between different Fleet Control functions and learn broader aspects of fleet operations
