About the role We are seeking a Fleet Management Executive to join LEE THONG HUNG TRADING & TRANSPORT SDN. BHD. in Kulai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing and optimising our fleet operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. As a Fleet Management Executive, you will be responsible for managing our vehicle fleet, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to reduce operational costs whilst maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. This role is essential to supporting our company's logistics and transport objectives and contributes directly to our operational success.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and maintain comprehensive fleet records, including vehicle maintenance schedules, service history, and compliance documentation

Oversee vehicle maintenance and repairs, coordinating with service providers to ensure all vehicles are kept in optimal working condition

Track and analyse fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other fleet-related expenses to identify opportunities for cost reduction

Manage vehicle registration, insurance, roadworthiness certificates, and other regulatory compliance requirements

Monitor driver behavior and safety performance, implementing training programmes to promote safe driving practices

Conduct regular fleet audits and inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards

Prepare and present fleet performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement

Coordinate with drivers and operational staff to address mechanical issues and minimise vehicle downtime

Evaluate and recommend vehicle replacements or additions based on operational needs and budget constraints

Liaise with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure competitive pricing

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role within the transport and logistics industry

Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and fleet management best practices

Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Knowledge of Malaysian traffic regulations and vehicle compliance standards

Experience with cost analysis and budget management would be beneficial
