Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a Mining & Building Materials company seeking a hands-on Fleet Manager (New Position) based at the Hulu Langat workshop, Selangor. You will lead transport operations for trucks, heavy equipment, drivers and logistics to support projects and mining operations.

You will oversee plan, maintenance schedules, budgets, GPS tracking, compliance with JPJ, PUSPAKOM and DOSH, and implement SOPs. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 58 years of working experience in fleet or transport operations with heavy equipment experience.
• Strong knowledge of truck maintenance, logistics planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and handle multiple site operations.
• Requires standby if emergency maintenance required , urgent logistics issues, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• To lead the Fleet Management team consist of Transport Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, Inhouse Mechanics and Drivers / Operators.
• Plan, organize, and oversee all fleet operations for construction and sand delivery.
• Ensure all trucks are properly maintained, licensed, and comply with JPJ, PUSPAKOM, and DOSH regulations.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and monitor implementation.
• Manage transport budgets, fuel usage, toll expenses, and repair costs.
• Supervise Transport Supervisors, Fleet Maintenance teams, and drivers.
• Implement GPS/fleet tracking systems and monitor performance and utilization.
• Establish and enforce transport SOPs, driver discipline, and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and authorities on logistics-related matters.
• Review and approve transport reports, vehicle records, and operational analysis.
• Plan for fleet expansion, replacement, and long-term cost optimization.

Additional Information:

• Monday to Saturday: 8:30am 5:30pm
