SWM Environment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manager for Fleet Compliance & Workshop Support in Kuala Lumpur. You will liaise with regulatory authorities, ensure licensing and safety compliance, and work with Workshop Managers to resolve fleet-related challenges.
The role requires a Mechanical/Automotive/Transportation or related degree and 10+ years in fleet management or heavy vehicle maintenance, with strong regulatory experience and stakeholder management skills.

Act as the Company's primary liaison with regulatory authorities including JPJ, PUSPAKOM, APAD, and other relevant agencies.
Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, licensing requirements, vehicle inspections, and road safety standards.
Partner closely with Workshop Managers to identify, assess, and resolve workshop and fleet-related operational challenges.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations on vehicle maintenance, fleet reliability, workshop performance, and asset management.
Review and evaluate proposals from workshops and vendors to ensure effective, practical, and cost-efficient solutions.
Manage relationships with external service providers, maintenance contractors, vehicle suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders.
Support vehicle procurement, commissioning, replacement planning, and fleet optimization initiatives.
Monitor fleet performance trends, maintenance issues, compliance risks, and operational gaps, recommending improvement measures where necessary.
Prepare reports and presentations for management, highlighting challenges, risks, mitigation plans, and strategic recommendations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve fleet availability, workshop effectiveness, safety, and cost control.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Transportation, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in fleet management, workshop operations, transport compliance, or heavy vehicle maintenance.
Strong working knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance, workshop operations, preventive maintenance programs, and fleet management practices.
Hands-on experience dealing with government and regulatory agencies such as JPJ, PUSPAKOM, and APAD.
Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders effectively.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
