SEW-EURODRIVE is seeking a Fitter/Assembler (Junior or Semi‑Senior) at the Johor Bahru office to assemble geared motors and mechanical components per drawings and specs. You will identify defects, perform reworks, and test assemblies to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and 1–2 years of related experience, with strong numerical ability and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical/Electronics) required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of working experience in a similar fitter/assembler role.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with data and numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble geared motors and mechanical components according to drawings and instructions.
• Identify, diagnose and correct assembly defects and perform reworks as needed.
• Inspect and test assemblies to ensure function and quality.
• Use hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment safely.

FITTER / ASSEMBLER (Junior / Semi‑Senior)

Key Responsibilities

Assemble geared motors and mechanical components according to technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

Identify, diagnose, and correct assembly defects, including carrying out necessary reworks or modifications as required by the Quality Controller’s feedback or rejection reports.

Inspect and test assembled components to ensure functionality and quality compliance.

Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.

Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Maintain accurate records of assembly, testing, and repair work.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S workplace organization.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.

Participate in training sessions and technical updates as required.

Requirements:

Applicant should be Malaysian citizen.

Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical/Electronics).

At least 1-2 years of working experience in a similar role.

Basic computer skills and ability to work with data and numbers.

Experience with writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Strong analytical and mathematics skills.

Extensive knowledge of automated testing software.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent attention to detail.
