Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Pasir Gudang is seeking an Assembly Technician (Mechanical) to perform mechanical assembly of machine parts according to drawings and work instructions. Based in Pasir Gudang, you will install and align components, carry out adjustments, and assemble modules with accuracy, while collaborating with production, QA and engineering teams.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. A certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred, along with familiarity

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to read basic mechanical drawings.
• Familiar with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of machine parts and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions.
• Install and fit mechanical components such as frames, shafts, bearings, couplings and motion parts.
• Carry out mechanical adjustment, alignment and basic functional checking.
• Assemble additional or customized mechanical modules when required.
• Conduct self inspection and provide support to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Assist in packing and preparing completed units for shipment.
• Work closely with production, QA and engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities :

Perform mechanical assembly of machine parts and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and work instructions.

Install and fit mechanical components such as frames, shafts, bearings, couplings and motion parts.

Carry out mechanical adjustment, alignment and basic functional checking.

Requirements:

Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Able to read basic mechanical drawings.

Familiar with hand tools and measuring instruments.

Ability to use measuring tools such as vernier callipers, micrometres, dial gauges, and torque wrenches is an added advantage.

Ability to operate overhead cranes safely is an added advantage.

Ability to drive forklift or reach truck is an added advantage.

Willing to work in production floor environment.
