Job summary

Paydee Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager to act as the right hand to the Head of Finance in Shah Alam. You will bridge day-to-day accounting with strategic financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and a scalable finance engine for a growing fintech payments business.

The role covers treasury oversight, full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, audit liaison, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
• Experience in fintech or the payment industry is a definite plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300 or Access UBS).
• You are proactive and bring solutions to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Settlement Oversight for daily settlements with merchants and global networks (Visa/Mastercard).
• Lead full-cycle accounting including GL, AP and AR to ensure audit-ready books.
• Assist in cash flow management and banking relationships for liquidity.
• Own monthly management reporting and annual financial statements per MFRS.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents; support regulatory submissions to Bank Negara Malaysia and card schemes.
• Maintain internal controls and identify workflow improvements for cost efficiency.
