Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is partnering with a fast-growing fintech/payments innovator to recruit a Financial Controller. You will oversee daily accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and act as a business partner in a high-velocity environment, ensuring timely and accurate close processes.

The role requires supervision of junior finance staff, expertise in MFRS, tax, and regulatory reporting, plus advanced Excel and ERP proficiency to support rapid growth. On-site Kuala Lumpur location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; professional qualification preferred.
• 4–6 years in finance, with 1–2 years in supervisory role.
• Experience in fintech/payments industry is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel and ERP system experience; knowledge of MFRS and tax rules.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-spectrum accounting operations (GL, AP, AR) and month-end/year-end closings.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements under MFRS.
• Manage merchant settlement reconciliations and daily transaction accuracy.
• Ensure Bank Negara Malaysia and SST compliance; regulatory reporting.
• Lead and mentor junior finance staff; drive process improvements.
