The role requires supervision of junior finance staff, expertise in MFRS, tax, and regulatory reporting, plus advanced Excel and ERP proficiency to support rapid growth. On-site Kuala Lumpur location.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily financial operations, managing regulatory compliance, and strengthening internal controls. This is not just a traditional accounting role; you will serve as a key business partner in a high-velocity environment, ensuring that the company's financial health keeps pace with its aggressive business growth.
Financial Operations & Reporting:
Oversee full-spectrum accounting operations (GL, AP, AR) and ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end financial closings.
Prepare and consolidate financial statements in strict accordance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
Manage complex merchant settlement reconciliations and ensure daily transaction accuracy.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines and other regulatory reporting requirements specific to the payments and fintech industry.
Oversee corporate tax and SST compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Leadership & Process Improvement:
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior finance executives, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Proactively identify process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvements in financial systems, automation, and internal controls.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Industry Exposure: Prior experience working in the fintech, e-wallet, payment gateway, or broader financial services industry is a massive advantage.
Technical Skills: Strong, proven understanding of MFRS, local statutory tax regulations, and ideally BNM reporting frameworks. Highly proficient in advanced MS Excel and modern ERP/accounting software.
