Job summary

WIKICAREER SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned finance leader to manage the full-set accounting and daily finance operations in Shah Alam. You will supervise the Finance Executive and support budgeting, financial analysis, and process improvements for timely, compliant reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance with exposure to month-end and year-end close, cash flow forecasting, and external-audit coordination. Malaysian statutory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance.
• 1–2 years in supervisory role.
• Experience with full-set accounts, month-end and year-end closing.
• Cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting experience.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and banks.
• Knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (SST, e-Invoicing, EPF/SOCSO/PCB).
• Professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MIA) advantageous.
• Experience with SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing with journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial schedules for the Senior Finance Manager.
• Monitor debtor ageing and oversee overdue collections.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Supervise the Finance Executive and track deadlines.

Job description

To manage the company's full-set accounting and daily finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, sound cash flow monitoring, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements. The role supervises the Finance Executive and supports the Senior Finance Manager in budgeting, financial analysis, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations

Lead the month-end and year-end closing, including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate significant variances or unusual transactions

Prepare monthly management reports and financial schedules for review by the Senior Finance Manager

Monitor debtor ageing and follow up on overdue collections

Prepare and monitor short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts

Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections

Supervise, guide, and review the work of the Finance Executive, including task allocation and deadline tracking

Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and internal controls

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, including at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or lead role

Proven experience in full-set accounts, month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of financial statements

Hands-on experience in cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting

Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax agents, and banks

Working knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (SST, e-Invoicing, EPF/SOCSO/PCB)

Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) are an added advantage

Experience with SQL is an added advantage

Audit firm experience or exposure to the manpower or business services industry is an added advantage
