BlueAppleCrafter is seeking a Finance & Senior Accountant/Executive to manage day-to-day finance operations, payroll, and financial reporting. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic cost management while ensuring tax compliance in Malaysia.
You will oversee AP/AR, GL, monthly close, and preparation of P&L and cash flow statements, with a focus on accuracy and process improvements. English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency is essential.
The Finance & Senior Accountant/ Executive plays a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the company, covering areas such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, taxation, payroll, and cash flow management. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial planning, and business operations, with the ability to streamline financial processes and provide strategic financial insights.
Key responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
Ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping, reconciling accounts and preparing monthly financial reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including expense tracking and invoice processing.
Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss (P&L) reports, and cash flow statements.
Conduct financial analysis to provide insights on cost control, budgeting, and business performance.
Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to support business decision-making.
Ensure compliance with Malaysia's tax regulations (SST, corporate tax, and statutory financial requirements).
Implement and manage Malaysia's new e-invoicing requirements, ensuring compliance with LHDN regulations.
Process monthly payroll, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB contributions, and employee claims.
Manage vendor payments and financial transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
About you
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, bookkeeping, taxation (SST & corporate tax), and compliance regulations.
Experience in implementing or managing e-invoicing systems in compliance with Malaysia's new regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks, or other relevant platforms).
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to manage multiple financial tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Prior experience in an SME, project-based business, or event industry finance is a plus.
