Job summary

Howden Specialty in Malaysia seeks a finance professional to support the Operations & Production in the finance and admin function, handle month-end closing, ledger reconciliation, and reporting for the business unit.

You will work with auditors, manage accounts payable, develop internal controls, and collaborate across departments to improve financial processes and efficiency, ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; professional certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in corporate finance, treasury, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data to assess the organization's financial health.
• Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Participate in financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Coordinate with local auditors/tax consultants for audit matters.
• Analyze cost structures and provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes.
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.
