Job summary

Wellous Group is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a consumer products group in Malaysia. The role combines strategic commercial partnership with hands-on leadership across group reporting, treasury, tax, consolidation and finance transformation.

You will oversee a team of about 12, drive monthly close and reporting, partner with diverse business units, and advance finance technology including SAP S/4HANA adoption.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications preferred (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MIA).
• 10+ years in finance with at least 1 year as FC/Head of Finance.
• Experience in fast-moving B2C sectors (FMCG/retail/e-commerce).
• Ability to lead a finance team and operate at strategic and hands-on levels.
• Strong knowledge of group consolidation, MFRS, taxation and audit management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team: manage day-to-day operations and development of staff.
• Drive group reporting: monthly close, consolidation, and management reporting.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain on pricing and capital allocation.
• Oversee statutory reporting, MFRS, revenue recognition and audits.
• Manage treasury: cash flow forecasting, working capital, banking relationships.
• Lead planning and analysis: budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range plans.
• Advance finance technology: SAP S/4HANA adoption and automation.
• Ensure tax compliance: corporate tax, SST, transfer pricing, e-Invoicing.
• Support overseas expansion: entity structuring and local reporting.
• Strengthen governance: internal controls, policies, segregation of duties.
