Job summary

Oakwood Worldwide in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Finance Manager to lead month-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive budgeting and cost-control initiatives. You will oversee revenue audits, inventory, and internal controls while coordinating audits and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have strong accounting background, policy implementation experience, and ability to work with department heads on cost-management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, profitability, cash flow, and budget performance.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures per standards and regulations.
• Review daily revenue and ensure accurate recording of room, F&B, banquet, and other revenues.
• Oversee income audit functions, investigate discrepancies, and conduct periodic audits.
• Oversee inventory control, stock counts, variances, wastage, and operating costs.
• Monitor cost controls for food, beverage, and operating supplies with department heads.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure SOP/CSAQ compliance.
• Coordinate audits and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Ensure tax, SST, withholding tax, e-Invoice filings and regulatory compliance.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, review department budgets, and guide departments.

Analyze financial performance, variances, profitability, cash flow, and budget performance.

Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Review daily revenue and ensure room, F&B, banquet, and other operating revenues are accurately recorded.

Oversee income audit functions, investigate revenue discrepancies, and conduct periodic revenue and compliance audits.

Oversee inventory control, monthly stock counts, stock variances, wastage, and operating costs.

Monitor food, beverage, and operating supply costs and work with department heads on cost-control initiatives.

Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company SOPs and CSAQ requirements.

Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on audit recommendations.

Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, including tax, SST, withholding tax, e-Invoice, and required filings.

Monitor finance-related contracts, documentation, and staff compliance with finance policies and procedures.

Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process, review departmental budgets, and provide financial guidance to department heads.
