Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Malaysia, Johor, Iskandar Puteri, seeks a senior finance leader to drive performance and develop the team. You will lead a finance department, oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and prepare financial statements for clients.

The role requires 8+ years in finance, with at least 3 years in an accounting firm, strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance, and experience with Xero or similar software. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required; ACCA/CPA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of finance and accounting experience, including 3 years in an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Xero and other accounting software preferred.

Job description

Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance team to drive performance, productivity, and professional development.

Oversee daily accounting and financial operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution.

Review and improve existing SOPs, workflows, and internal processes to strengthen efficiency and controls.

Conduct monthly training and knowledge-sharing sessions for the team.

Monitor and evaluate team performance, including setting objectives and preparing annual performance appraisals.

Oversee timely month-end closing and ensure accurate preparation of financial reports for clients.

Review management reports and financial statements prepared by the accounting team.

Prepare financial statements based on clients’ accounting records in accordance with applicable requirements and deadlines.

Prepare group consolidation and financial reporting for clients.

Review quarterly GST returns prepared by the Accounts Executives.

Prepare and submit annual corporate tax filings to IRAS on behalf of clients.

Process & Risk Management

Establish and maintain effective financial processes and risk controls to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

Handle and respond to IRAS queries relating to clients’ accounting and financial records.

Liaise with Corporate Secretarial teams on statutory and compliance matters.

Client Management & Communication

Manage the client onboarding process, including conducting onboarding meetings and understanding client requirements.

Conduct meetings with clients to explain financial statements and key financial matters when required.

Act as a key point of contact for clients and respond to accounting, financial, and compliance-related enquiries.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an added advantage.

Minimum 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in an accounting firm.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with Xero and other accounting software is preferred.
