Job summary

PolicyStreet, an insurance technology group serving Southeast Asia and Australia, seeks a Finance Executive (Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency) to support international markets. You will manage full AP cycle, post daily journal entries, reconcile statements, and monitor aging while ensuring proper approvals and audit trails.

You will also assist GL month-end close, prepare management reports, and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or pursuing professional accounting papers.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Good reconciliation and closing skills.
• Experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry is a plus.
• Mandarin/Cantonese proficiency is required for international markets communications.

• Manage full AP cycle: invoice verification, coding, posting and payment processing
• Ensure proper documentation and approval before payment
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely settlement

B. General Ledger (GL)

• Analyse transactions extracted from Data Warehouse and prepare the corresponding billing and journal entries.
• Perform weekly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in preparation of management reports and audit schedules.

C. Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal SOPs
• Maintain strong internal controls and proper documentation
• Identify and resolve reconciliation issues promptly

Requirements

Degree in Accounting or pursuing professional accounting papers.

Strong understanding of accrual accounting.

Good reconciliation and closing skills

Proficiency in MS Office is required, experience in the accounting software (Xero) is a bonus.

Self-motivated and able to work well both independently and in a team.

Experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry would be an added advantage.

Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is required to support communication with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking stakeholders across international markets
