This role is based at our Kuala Lumpur office on a full time onsite basis.
We are seeking a Finance Executive to join our Global Finance team, based in Kuala Lumpur. This role will provide day-to-day finance and accounting support to the Finance Manager, Kuala Lumpur, and the wider Global Finance team.
The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing finance transactions, performing reconciliations, preparing supporting schedules and assisting with monthly reporting and other finance activities.
The Finance Executive will work closely with the Finance Manager and will also support the Global CFO on specific finance tasks and projects as required.
Kuala Lumpur is the base location, while the scope of the role is international. The role will have exposure to the Group's operations across the United States, Europe and Asia.
Process and record day-to-day finance transactions accurately and on a timely basis.
Perform finance-related data entry into the Group's accounting / ERP system.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment / receipt recording.
Maintain accurate and complete finance records and supporting documentation.
Perform bank, intercompany and other account reconciliations.
Follow up on discrepancies and outstanding items.
Assist the Finance Manager with month-end closing activities.
Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for monthly reporting.
Assist with the processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and recharges.
Prepare financial data and schedules required for Group reporting
Assist with basic analysis and investigation of unusual movements or discrepancies.
Assist with audit, tax and other finance-related requests by preparing supporting information and documentation.
Support finance process improvements and other projects as required.
Perform other finance-related tasks and assignments as directed by the Finance Manager or Global CFO.
3 to 5 years of experience in finance or accounting. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications or internship experience may also be considered.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems; NetSuite experience would be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Good written and spoken English.
Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, or able to relocate at your own expense.
