Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan ASK Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Executive (Japanese/Korean Speaker) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to support daily financial reporting and month-end close. The role requires a degree in accounting/finance and at least 2 years in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily financial reporting transaction support, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Record, review, and analyse accounting transactions including fixed assets and reconciliations.
• Perform analytical reviews of P/L and balance sheets with trend analysis.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end and statutory financial reporting.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve reporting issues with stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute subject-matter expertise.
• Provide backup support and perform additional duties as assigned.

Our client is a leading global chemical MNC with a regional shared services hub in Asia Pacific, specializing in the production, marketing and sales of chemicals, plastics, and crop protection products.

Highlights

Contract Position (Renewable)

Monday - Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities:

Provide daily financial reporting transaction support, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of work.

Record, review, and analyse accounting transactions, including fixed assets, master data maintenance, and account reconciliations with timely clearing of balances.

Perform analytical reviews of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, including trend analysis and transaction checks.

Prepare and support month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and statutory financial reporting, including group reporting, management reports, audit schedules, and tax schedules.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve financial reporting issues in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in cross-functional working groups and contribute subject-matter expertise to projects and improvements.

Provide backup support and perform additional duties as assigned when required.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience in accounting/financial reporting (open to strong junior profiles)

Language proficiency: Korean / Japanese (speaking, reading, writing)

Experience in Shared Services / MNC environment is an advantage

Familiar with SAP system is a plus

Proficiency in MS Office tools and excellent communication skills in English.
