Qualifications

• 3–5 years of work experience in finance/accounts payable.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Solid knowledge of full accounting cycle and procedures.
• Proficiency with financial software; MYOB is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead a small team toward department objectives.

Responsibilities

• Verify invoices and ensure payments are approved.
• Maintain accurate records for daily transactions in internal systems with proper documentation.
• Update and maintain financial databases and records; ensure timely closing of daily transactions.
• Prepare monthly SST summaries and payments to the tax authority (Kastam).
• Monitor daily cash flow and manage payments per the payment cycle.
• Investigate account discrepancies by coordinating with relevant departments.
• Resolve disputes and provide alternative solutions.
• Assist with budget preparation and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

A Finance Executive is responsible for daily transaction (AP). The role involves verifying invoices, ensuring payments are approved, and maintaining accurate records for all daily transactions by updating internal systems with proper supporting documentations.

Key responsibilities

In charge of the financial transaction (AP) in the company by verify invoices and ensure the payment done by approval

Keep accurate records for all daily transactions by updating internal systems with proper supporting documentations

Tracking and monitoring financial transactions is accurate. Closing all transaction on daily

Prepare monthly SST summary and payment issuance to Kastam

Monitor the daily cash flow and manage of payments according to the payment cycle

Verifies account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from related Department

Resolve internal/external disputes and discrepancies and provide alternative solutions

Assist with budget preparation, ensure existing financial policies and procedures are followed

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Updating and maintaining the database, financial records, and filing systems

About you

Proven work experience (3-5 years)

Teamwork and work independently

Solid knowledge of full set accounting, financial and accounting procedures

Experience in using financial software (competent with MYOB is an advantage)

Good command of written and verbal both in English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills

Organizational skills are crucial with ability to closely pay attention to detail

Highly dedicated, committed and motivated to excel, able to lead team towards department objectives
