As the Finance Executive at Uchida MK Sdn Bhd, you will play a vital role in supporting the company’s financial operations and contributing to the achievement of business objectives. Based in Shah Alam, Selangor, this full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance and accounting professional to contribute to the success of a growing organization.

Job Description

Maintain accurate standard costing for products, including material, labour, and overhead costs.

Perform variance analysis on material, labour, overhead, and production costs, and provide meaningful insights to management.

Prepare cost and profitability analysis reports, as well as product margin analysis reports.

Drive continuous improvement in costing processes and financial reporting efficiency.

Support variance analysis by identifying trends, cost drivers, and other insights related to the company’s financial position and operational performance.

Support financial feasibility analyses for business initiatives and break-even analyses, and provide actionable recommendations.

Budgeting & Planning:

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling cost data and analyzing variance related to production and operations.
• Monitor budget performance and ensure effective budgetary control.

Full Set of Accounts & Month-End Closing:

• Assist HOD in maintaining full sets of accounts, including general ledger, trial balance, and financial statements
• Manage and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of management accounting records and reports

Compliance & Audit Support:

• Ensure all accounting activities comply with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Assist in preparation of tax schedules and filings (eInvoice, Corporate Tax and SST)
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare the required audit schedules and supporting documents
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records

Administrative and Improvement Support:

• Review and enhance accounting and operational processes, including enforcing internal controls.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments and tasks as delegated

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are advantageous
• 3-4 years of experience in costing or financial analysis role in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in accounting software (ERP)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to generate data analysis and simulation reports
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements
