TIMES24 MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a diligent GL Accountant to perform end-to-end General Ledger activities, month-end closures, and bank reconciliations in a dynamic finance team in Selangor.

You will manage daily finance operations including payments, revenue processing, fixed assets, and audit support, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting. The role welcomes fresh graduates and candidates with 1–2 years in GL or related accounting functions, require Excel proficiency, ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance/accounting.
• Fresh graduates welcomed; 1–2 years in GL/Bank reconciliation is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Dynamics NAV).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Immediate start is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end General Ledger activities including journal entries and month-end closing.
• Manage daily finance operations: bank reconciliations, fund transfers, and payment journals.
• Process revenue transactions and tenancy invoicing; handle MDR charges.
• Maintain fixed assets and stock charge-out records.
• Prepare landlord payments and support audits.
• Monitor renewals of licenses, insurance, road tax; liaise with vendors.
• Respond to inquiries and support process improvements.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Perform end-to-end General Ledger (GL) activities, including journal entries, allocations, accruals, provisions, inventory valuation, adjustments, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Manage daily finance operations, including fund transfers, monthly contra payments, bank balance updates, bank statement generation, payment journals, and interest income recording.
• Process and reconcile revenue transactions, including casual revenue, Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) charges (PayWave, TNGO, LPR, APS Cashless), manual collections, tenancy invoicing, and other finance-related transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset records, process stock charge-out transactions, and ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Prepare and process landlord payments and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Monitor the renewal of business licences, insurance policies, and road tax, and ensure the smooth operation of finance automation processes by liaising with vendors when required.
• Respond promptly to internal and external enquiries, support process improvement initiatives, and perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent), or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant working experience in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, or other accounting functions will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 or other ERP/accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Candidates who can commence work immediately will have an added advantage.
• Preferably candidates with good soft skills and command of written and spoken in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking customers/suppliers.
