Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a finance professional to support monthly financial reporting and the full set of accounting duties for projects based in Kulai, Johor. You will ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while assisting with budgeting and cash flow tracking.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance (ACCA/CPA adds advantage), 1–2 years in supporting full accounts, and project accounting experience, preferably in construction or property development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent; ACCA/CPA adds advantage.
• 1–2 years experience assisting full set of accounts.
• Experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, engineering or property development.
• Audit firm experience (Big 4 or mid-tier) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly reporting and full-set accounting for projects.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost monitoring, including cash flow tracking.
• Prepare monthly reporting to stakeholders within set timelines.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and other departments for reporting information.
• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and provide financial guidance.

Job description

Support monthly financial reporting and full-set accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Assist with project budgeting, cost monitoring and cash flow tracking, identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting/management information to all stakeholders within the stipulated timeline.

Assist in project budget preparation, budget monitoring including identifying cost savings opportunities.

Tracking of project budget vs actual cost including monitoring cash flow.

Ensure transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the accounting standards.

Liaise with auditors/tax agent/authorities/other subsidiaries/departments on information required for reporting.

Assist in monitoring implementation and adherence to Company’s internal control policy.

Pro-active in resolving concerns and providing value added financial advice including operational effectiveness and business process.

Assist in any ad-hoc tasks as required.

Job requirements:

Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, candidate with ACCA/CPA has added advantage.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in assisting/supporting full set of accounts

Experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction, engineering, or property development industries.

Prior working experience in an audit firm (Big 4 or mid-tier audit firms) would be an added advantage.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet reporting deadlines.

Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting a fast-paced project environment.
