Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to manage and coordinate electrical design activities across project lifecycles.

You will review drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and work with architects and engineers to integrate electrical systems for data centre projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 4–5 years’ experience in data centres or mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–5 years of electrical design experience.
• Experience in data centres, MEP, or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software (Revit, ETAP, Inventor).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and control.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing deliverables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing and coordinating electrical design activities, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring electrical systems comply with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and review electrical design drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Develop design strategies that align with client specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.

Review and validate technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 4-5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in data centres, MEP, or mission-critical facilities.

Proficient in preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.

Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software (e.g. Revit, ETAP, Inventor, etc.).

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Knowledge of electrical design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing design deliverables.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
