Job summary

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in BMS, building automation, or control systems, preferably data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of BMS architecture, HVAC controls, and system integration.
• Experience with presales engineering, tender support, or solution design is advantageous.
• Familiar with BACnet, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, or Niagara.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, engineering, and implementation of BMS and control systems for data centre projects.
• Review control system architecture, SOO, I/O schedules, specs, and design drawings.
• Provide technical expertise on CBMS, NCBMS, and system integration.
• Coordinate BMS, EPMS, HVAC controls, fire interfaces, and third-party integrations.

Job description

Lead BMS and control system design, integration, and technical support across data centre projects.

Drive presales activities, including technical proposals, tender support, and control system solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee the design, engineering, and implementation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and control systems for data centre projects.

Review control system architecture, control philosophy, sequence of operations (SOO), I/O schedules, technical specifications, and design drawings.

Provide technical expertise on HVAC controls, Critical BMS (CBMS), Non-Critical BMS (NCBMS), and system integration.

Coordinate critical BMS, NCBMS, EPMS, HVAC controls, fire alarm interfaces, security systems, and third-party integrations.

Manage presales technical activities, including reviewing tender requirements, preparing technical proposals, developing control system solutions, and supporting cost estimation.

Coordinate with internal engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical equipment.

Evaluate technical specifications, equipment selections, and vendor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Support tender presentations, technical clarifications, and discussions with clients and consultants during the presales stage.

Provide technical support across multiple data centre project sites, including troubleshooting, design coordination, and resolving control system issues.

Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and commissioning activities.

Job requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in BMS, building automation, or control systems, preferably in data centre or mission-critical projects.

Strong technical knowledge of BMS architecture, HVAC controls, control philosophy, and system integration.

Experience in presales engineering, technical proposals, tender support, or solution design would be an advantage.

Familiar with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and other industrial control protocols.

Experience with BMS platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Tridium Niagara, or equivalent systems.

Good understanding of testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and support multiple projects.
