Job summary

Senior candidates will lead electrical packages, provide technical guidance, monitor schedules and costs, and drive quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience for Electrical Engineer; 6+ years for Senior.
• Experience in Data Centre or Mission Critical facilities is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead electrical activities, site execution, and coordination.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, testing and commissioning.

Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer

PMX Malaysia is a fast-growing Data Centre Construction company specializing in the delivery of mission-critical facilities. We are seeking highly motivated Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team and support the successful delivery of large-scale data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

For All Candidates

Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Supervise electrical installation works and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Monitor project progress, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system handover activities.

Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates.

Ensure all works comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Electrical Engineer

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical packages for data centre construction projects.

Serve as the primary technical focal point for all electrical-related matters.

Review and approve engineering drawings, technical submissions, method statements, and material specifications.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, supervisors, and site teams.

Monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, costs, and engineering deliverables.

Identify project risks, technical challenges, and design clashes, and implement mitigation plans.

Lead Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities and ensure systems meet performance requirements.

Participate in client meetings, design reviews, progress meetings, and project reporting.

Support project budgeting, change management, variation assessments, and cost control initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality, safety, and project execution.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience for Electrical Engineer and 6 years and above for Senior Electrical Engineers

Experience in Data Centre or Mission Critical Facilities will be highly advantageous.

Proven experience leading electrical engineering activities, site execution, and project coordination.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Familiarity with EHS, QA/QC, and industry standards.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced project environment.
