Job summary

PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior CX Engineer to support testing and commissioning for large-scale data centre projects. You will coordinate testing across mechanical, electrical, ELV, ICT, HVAC, and other critical systems to ensure readiness for operation.

You will work with contractors, consultants, vendors and project teams; perform FAT, SAT, IST, review documents, troubleshoot issues, and assist in handover and documentation; willingness to travel and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in testing and commissioning, MEP, construction, or data centre projects.
• Experience in data centre or mission-critical projects is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of testing and commissioning processes for mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, functional testing, performance testing, and IST.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, test procedures, method statements, and commissioning requirements.
• Work closely with contractors, consultants, OEM vendors, and subcontractors to ensure testing activities are properly planned and carried out.
• Monitor commissioning progress, system readiness, outstanding works, and punch list / defect closure.
• Witness and verify testing activities to ensure they meet project and client requirements.
• Review test results, commissioning reports, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during testing and commissioning and coordinate with relevant parties for resolution.
• Participate in site inspections, commissioning meetings, and technical coordination meetings.
• Ensure testing and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, relevant standards, and local regulations.
• Support commissioning documentation, O&M documentation, training, and final handover.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site teams when required.
• Perform other duties related to testing and commissioning as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in testing and commissioning, MEP, construction, or data centre projects.

Experience in data centre or mission-critical projects is an added advantage.

Good knowledge of testing and commissioning processes for mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Experience with HVAC, chilled water, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, fire protection, ELV, BMS, or ICT systems is an advantage.

Familiar with FAT, SAT, functional testing, performance testing, and IST.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Good communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.

Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.
