Job summary

Luxoft in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Software Engineer to join the Data and Finance Application Support team, ensuring production stability of Finance and Data warehouse applications and ongoing improvements across the bank's technology stack.

The role involves collaborating with business, operations, and development teams to resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and assist in releases to production, following ITIL-like processes and capacity management practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.
• 3-5 years of experience in application development and support environment in Banking Finance, ETL, Data warehouse, and data analytics.
• Working experience in Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, Database query skills, BI Tools skillsets
• Mandatory Technical skills : Oracle / MS SQL or DB2, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting, Informatica
• Knowledge of ITIL or similar framework will be advantageous
• Experiences in Teradata, Hive, Impala are good advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Excellent knowledge of End to End Banking Business data flow including finance, risk, compliance and accounting data across various sectors
• Experience in Incident/Problem Management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to various business users and address queries promptly.
• Resolve incidents to meet service level targets and document resolutions.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify permanent solutions.
• Proactively manage incidents and problems across teams and releases.
• Collaborate with development teams for resolutions and production transitions.
• Follow standard Incident and Problem Management workflows and change processes.
• Participate in DR/BCM activities or infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor and analyze capacity data to forecast needs.
• Support management reporting and centrally driven project initiatives.
