Job summary

Luxoft Malaysia supports a leading bank in Kuala Lumpur, delivering software engineering and application support in a data/ETL environment. You will collaborate with business, operations and development teams to ensure service quality and timely issue resolution across finance and data warehouse applications.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience in banking data, Unix/Windows, batch scheduling, and Oracle/SQL/DB2, with ITIL familiarity and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.
• 3-5 years of experience in application development and support in Banking Finance, ETL, Data warehouse, and data analytics.
• Experience on Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, database queries, and BI tools.
• Technical skills: Oracle/MS SQL/DB2, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting, Informatica.
• ITIL knowledge is advantageous; Teradata, Hive, Impala are beneficial.
• Excellent communication, analytical and collaboration skills.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end banking data flows across finance, risk, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to business users and meet service targets.
• Resolve incidents promptly; conduct root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement production releases.
• Adhere to incident/problem/change management processes and documentation.
• Participate in DR/BCM activities and capacity management duties.
• Contribute to management reporting and central project initiatives as needed.
