Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review procurement process from PR to PO and payment within agreed turn‑around time (TAT).
• Assist buyers to obtain best value through business requirement alignment and quotes.
• Ensure procurement compliance with policies, ethics and ESG requirements.
• Monitor stock for stationery and refreshments; perform replenishment and stock takes.
• Track major expenses (IT, agency, etc.) and assist in payment analysis.

Job description

The role primarily focus on Procurement process related activities, including being the gatekeeper for ensuring compliance with the procurement policies, ensure the best value is derived by the company on for every acquisition with critical negotiation, communication and problem solving skill. May involved in premium collection function and other administration role from time to time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Review and monitor the procurement process from Purchase Requisition (PR), issuance of Purchase Order (PO) to vendors and process payment upon request within agree TAT.

Assist other buyers getting the best value purchase for the company with understanding with their business requirement, negotiate with vendors and get additional quotes.

Procurement Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with company's legislation, ethics, ESG requirement and SOP.

Monitoring/update stock for stationery and refreshments by perform replenishment and stock take exercise.

Keep track on big tickets items example IT expenses, Agency spending etc. and assist on any other matters related to procurement.

Payment/expenses analysis, assist in review management expenses payment request.

Target to safe 10% of "controllable" expenses yoy.

To organize / assist in staff engagement activities for Finance team.

To support and assist in other ad-hoc duties, projects or activities assign by superior including organize / assist in staff engagement activities for Finance team.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Accounting / Finance

At least 5 year(s) of relevant working experience in procurement with exposure to Insurance industry

Good interpersonal skills along with positive attitude

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Words.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
