Job summary

International Business Machines Corporation is seeking an experienced operations leader in Malaysia to drive day-to-day teams, ensure compliant outputs, and manage SLA/KPI performance. The role focuses on governance across procurement, finance, vendor management and IT, with emphasis on coaching, reporting, and process improvements.

The position requires building high-performance teams and delivering timely operational insights to senior management while ensuring regulatory and audit compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational teams to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outputs.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, controls and audit requirements.
• Own and report on SLA and KPI performance; drive corrective actions to close gaps.
• Act as final escalation point for complex issues spanning procurement, accounts payable, vendor management and finance systems.
• Build and develop teams through coaching, performance reviews and structured development plans.
• Present clear operational reports to Senior Management on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identify and lead process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Ensure operations meet internal audit, compliance and regulatory requirements in the medical industry.
• Serve as main contact for internal partners, finance, IT and external vendors on operational matters.
• Champion accountability and continuous improvement across all teams.
• Support transition, training, knowledge transfer and operational readiness activities.
• Prepare operational reports, analyze performance trends and recommend improvements.
