Job summary

Zohorecruit in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Accountant to manage the full set of accounts and oversee daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

You will handle GL/AR/AP, perform month-end close, prepare management accounts, monitor debtor aging, process invoices, and liaise with auditors and tax agents. Diploma holders with 2–3 years' experience preferred; strong English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience handling a full set of accounts and multi-currency transactions.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage daily accounting functions such as transaction recording, journal entries, invoice issuance, purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, management accounts, and schedules.
• Monitor accounts receivable including debtor aging and collections.
• Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for decision making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.
