Job summary

Wiwynn is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead accounting and finance operations in Malaysia. The role requires deep IFRS knowledge, strong budgeting and forecasting capabilities, and experience with SST, income tax, and statutory filings.

Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is essential, with excellent English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills. The candidate will oversee AP/AR/GL, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, while liaising with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in accounting/finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Malaysian tax laws, SST, and statutory requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• FIZ operations and related tax matters preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and finance operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS and local regs.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Job description

• Oversee daily accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including SST, income tax, and other statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Review and improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to support management in strategic decision making.
• Support ad hoc financial projects and assignments as required by management.
• Experience with Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) operations, exemptions, and related tax matters in Malaysia is highly preferred.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
