Job summary

Iconic Medicare Sdn Bhd in Penang is hiring a Finance & Accounts Executive to handle AP/AR, GL entries and reconciliations. You will reconcile marketplace settlements from Shopee and Lazada and coordinate with E-commerce, Sales and Warehouse teams on financial matters.

The role involves monthly closings, cash-flow monitoring and preparing audit support. Diploma or degree in accounting is required; ACCA studies are advantageous, and prior audit backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting or related discipline.
• ACCA qualification, part-qualification or ongoing studies advantageous.
• Candidates from external audit firms are encouraged to apply; prior commercial accounting experience is not compulsory.
• E-commerce, online marketplace, retail or consignment exposure will be a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Shopee, Lazada, payment reports or marketplace reconciliation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL Accounting or another ERP/accounting system advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile sales, collections, platform fees, commissions, vouchers, refunds and settlements from Shopee, Lazada and other e-commerce platforms.
• Monitor consignment sales, inventory movements, outstanding settlements and consignment partners' accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies between marketplace reports, payment gateways, accounting records and warehouse data.
• Coordinate with E-commerce, Sales, Warehouse, Logistics and Customer Service teams on sales, inventory, delivery and payment matters.
• Assist with monthly closing, management accounts, cash-flow monitoring and variance analysis.
• Monitor inventory, cost of sales, fixed assets and operating expenditure.
• Prepare audit schedules and support statutory audit, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain complete documentation and accurate records in the SQL Accounting System.
• Rotate across accounting functions to provide effective backup within the Finance team.
• Progressively undertake full-set accounts under the guidance of the Finance & Accounts Manager.
