Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Field Visit Officer for a full-time role based in the State of Johor/Melaka/Perak. You will conduct field visits to collect outstanding debts, verify customer information, and maintain professional relationships with debtors on behalf of the company.

You will travel within the specified regions, negotiate repayment arrangements, document outcomes, and ensure compliance with debt collection regulations.

Qualifications

• SPM or High school diploma minimum.
• 1–2 years field collections or debt recovery experience is advantageous.
• Valid driving license and own transport.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and meticulous documentation.
• Ability to work independently to achieve field KPI targets.
• Physically able to travel within Johor/Melaka/Perak and nearby areas.
• Knowledge of Malaysia debt collection regulations and compliance.
• Professional demeanor, integrity and discretion with sensitive information.
• Flexibility to work varying hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to customers' premises to negotiate repayment arrangements.
• Verify customer information, employment status, and asset details during site visits.
• Document visit outcomes and debtor interactions in the case management system.
• Understand regional geography, navigation routes, and local area layouts.
• Maintain accurate records of all Field Visit activities, including unsuccessful visits.
• Refer complex cases to senior staff or legal teams as appropriate.
• Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to debt collection.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with debtors to facilitate debt resolution.
• Report daily activities and Field Visit performance to management.
• Collaborate with the call center team to follow up on leads and escalate cases as needed.

About the role

This is a full-time position based in the State of Johor/Melaka/Perak. As Field Visit Officer, you will be responsible for conducting field visits to collect outstanding debts, verify customer information, and maintain professional relationships with debtors. You will be the frontline representative of our company, playing a crucial role in our debt recovery operations and contributing directly to the financial of the Company.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting Field Visits to customers' premises to negotiate repayment arrangements
• Verifying customer information, employment status, and asset details during site visits during site visits and handle tense or difficult conversations calmly and professionally
• Documenting visit outcomes, and debtor interactions in the case management system
• Local knowledge: Understand regional geography, navigation routes, and local area layouts
• Maintaining accurate records of all Field Visit activities, including unsuccessful visit attempts
• Referring complex cases or non-compliant debtors to senior staff or legal teams as appropriate
• Adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements related to debt collection practices
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with debtors to facilitate successful debt resolution
• Reporting daily activities and Field Visit performance to management
• Collaborating with the call center team to follow up on leads and elevate cases as needed

What we're looking for

• SPM or High school diploma or equivalent qualification at minimum
• 1 - 2 years proven experience in field collections, debt recovery, or similar customer-facing roles within the financial services industry would be an advantage
• Valid driving (D/DA) or motorbike (B/B2) license and reliable own personal transportation
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer demographics
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently whilst meeting set field visit KPI's targets and performance metrics
• Physical capability to conduct field visits and travel within the State of Johor/Melaka/Perak and its surrounding regions
• Knowledge of debt collection regulations and compliance requirements in Malaysia
• Professional demeanour, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
• Flexibility to work varying hours when necessary to meet customers
