Job summary

Calibre Events Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic Training Specialist to empower retail staff across Penang with in-depth knowledge of consumer electronics. You will design and deliver engaging sessions, demonstrate products, and tailor content for diverse audiences.

You'll collaborate with merchandising teams, monitor staff performance, and travel frequently to multiple retail locations to ensure training effectiveness and aligned sales techniques with campaigns.

Conduct comprehensive product training sessions for retail staff across multiple locations, focusing on consumer electronics features, benefits and technical specifications

Demonstrate products to retail partners and customers, highlighting key selling points and competitive advantages

Develop and deliver engaging training materials and presentations tailored to different audience levels

Monitor and assess staff competency in product knowledge and sales techniques, providing constructive feedback and coaching

Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to stay updated on new product launches and promotional campaigns

Conduct field visits to retail locations to ensure training effectiveness and identify additional training needs

Track training metrics and prepare reports on staff performance and training outcomes

Support retail teams in achieving sales targets by addressing product knowledge gaps and sales technique challenges

Stay current with industry trends, competitor products and consumer preferences in consumer electronics

What we're looking for

Proven experience in consumer electronics retail, training or sales-related roles

Strong product knowledge of consumer electronics including mobile devices, computing equipment, home appliances and similar categories

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences

Demonstrated ability to train, coach and motivate retail staff effectively

Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple training sessions and locations

Proficiency in using training materials, presentation software and learning management systems

Ability to travel frequently to various retail locations across Penang

Knowledge of retail buying practices and merchandising principles is advantageous

Certification in training or adult learning methodologies would be beneficial

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus
